My dream is to play for the Black Stars - Francis Acquah

For young Ghanaian footballer, Francis Acquah, success as a footballer would be wearing the jersey of Ghana's senior national team to play for the Black Stars.

Acquah, 21, is currently based in the United States and playing for Northern Virginia Academy but he believes with hardwork and determination he would soon be playing in the top tiers of American soccer and closer to achieveing his dream.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Rainbow Sports, the 21-year-old said, it is his dream to be one the world’s best footballers.

Describing himself as a dedicated, talented, skilful and hardworking footballer, Acquah said, he is also looking forward to representing the national team soon.

According to him, football is a competitive game and only dedicated and few hardworking footballers succeed at their craft hence his commitment to what he does.

‘’It is my dream to play for the national team and so I am working hard at it. I am putting in all my best to realize this dream. It is not going to be an easy task but I am optimistic I will get there,’’ he said.

Francis Acquah was born on March 1, 1997 ( 21 years). He started his football career in Ghana. He later moved to the United States of America at age 13. He played through middle and high school.

He led his High School team to a conference and regional championships for the first time in the history of the school.

He also played for NVSC “Northern Virginia Soccer club, PWSI “Prince William soccer” and Barca academy in the United States. Currently, he plays college football at Northern Virginia Community College.
