At 26, the journeyman midfielder has already played for eight different European clubs since leaving Ashgold for Spanish side Elche in 2008, and it appears he will be on the move once again with England his likely destination.

Wakaso has been heavily linked with promoted Reading whose Dutch manager, Jaap Stam, is looking to add bite and creative nous to his team before the start of the season in August.
The player spent last season on loan at relegated Spanish La Liga side Granada CF from Panathinaikos. He told the Graphic Sports in an exclusive interview last Saturday that he was in advanced negotiations with an English Premier League club but remained evasive about his final destination.
"I don't have much to say about that but its true, I am waiting for the deal to be finalised," Wakaso said.
"I am expecting something but I am not sure whether it will work out or not."
If he is able to clinch a deal, Wakaso will be headed to his ninth European club in nine years after stints with Spanish clubs Elche, Villareal, Espanyol, Las Palmas (loan) and Granada (loan), Glasgow Celtic (loan) and Russian side Rubin Kazan.
Wakaso has two years left on his current contract with Superleague Greece club, Panathinaikos FC, who he joined in July 2016 from Rubin Kazan for an undisclosed fee.
