Sarfo believes that his side is keen on starting the league on a bright note on Sunday and will work harder to inflict pain on the Ghanaian giants.

Liberty Professionals narrowly escaped relegation last season, while Kotoko finished fifth. But both sides are hoping to start brightly by winning.

"We are ready to beat them at their own backyard to upset them because we are keen on starting on a good note," Sarfo said in an interview with the Graphic Sports.

"The team is focused to make sure we give Kotoko a good fight on Sunday and I can assure you that we are not afraid of them," he added.

Talking about Liberty Professionals' preparation ahead of the new campaign, Sarfo, who doubles as a policeman, noted that they possessed a quality squad that can defeat any team in the upcoming league.

He praised the newly-appointed coach of the side, Sellas Tetteh, and was hopeful he would bring honour to the Dansoman-based club.
