Kenichi secures Japanese deal for Hearts

Accra Hearts of Oaks ties with Japan is set to grow stronger following a sponsorship deal struck with Japanese sportswear and equipment firm, Polar Electric.

Hearts source confirmed to the Graphic Sports yesterday that the deal was brokered by the clubs Japanese coach, Kenichi.

 

Yatsuhashi, who reportedly has relationship with Polar Electric which deals in fitness and training equipment, among other sports equipment’s.

After consideration by the sponsorship and finance committee of the club, the Hearts management gave the green light for the Polar Electric to equip the club for the upcoming season, with the Phobians expected to receive an undisclosed amount of money from the Japanese firm.

Meanwhile, the Hearts technical committee is reviewing a transfer list handed to   them by the coach Yatsuhashi with the responsibility reversing the intended transfer of some senior players of the club.

Players listed for transfer include Emmanuel Hayford, Eric Kumi, Richard Yamoah, Ollenu Ashitey and Issac Oduro, who were said to be the injury-prone and regarded as surplus to the clubs requirement.

However, the club’s technical committee believed the transfer list to be reconsidered because the experience of some players could help the Phobians in their quest to win laurels in the coming season.
