"Upon receiving allegations about certain underground dealings by Mr, Nuttall, the Board constituted a three-person committee to investigate the facts of the case and give the coach an opportunity to defend himself against said allegations," the statement said.

"After a thorough review of the facts and hearing Nuttall's defense, the committee was unanimous in its recommendation to the full Board that his contract be terminated.

"According to to the committee's report, Coach Nuttall admitted to his involvement in aiding and introducing players of the club to agents and vice versa without the knowledge of the management of the club".

Wellington has been at the club for a year and will be on the touchline when Ghana Premier League starts on March 2.

Meanwhile, multiple reports suggest Nuttall will not be out of coaching for long.

The Scot is being linked with a two-year deal with Ghana Premier League side Elmina Sharks.

According to local media reports, the Elmina based side have given Nuttall a two-year contract to study and sign if he finds it satisfactory.

Reports in the media indicate that Elmina Sharks owner Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, has held preliminary talks with the Scottish tactician over the possibility of moving to Sharks ahead of the start of the new season.
