Graphic Sports health walk draws crowd

Hundreds of participants responded positively to the invitation of Graphic Sports, Ghana’s leading sports newspaper, as they turned up in their numbers for the first Graphic Sports Professionals Associations Health Walk last Saturday.

A regular routine for many, several groups who had come for their fitness walk from Ayi Mensah up the Aburi Hills, joined the Graphic Sports for the one and half hour exercise, which brought out the enduring spirit of participants.

Groups such as old students associations who were celebrating their anniversary as well as the Madina District of the Young Adults Fellowship (YAF) of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, were the notable organised groups who joined in the exercise.

It looked like an exercise of no retreat and first time participants had to draw inspiration from the encouraging inscriptions such as “Don’t give up”, and “jog for your health’’that greeted them as they went up and they indeed, managed to finish the walk at the Peduase Lodge Park.

Once everyone had made it to the top, it was time for fun as the participants were taken through some aerobic exercises made more fun with the provision of danceable music.

Graphic Sports and the headline sponsors, Euroget Group as well as the supporting sponsors, Beta Malt by Accra Brewery Limited, Hype Energy Drink, Verna Natural Mineral Water by Twellium Industries and BiC, also gave out souvenirs to the participants, which further increased the fun level.
