Originally slated to be held at the Southern Arena in Bo, Sierra Leone, Kallon FC made an announcement on Monday regarding a change in venue, attributing the relocation to neighbouring Liberia to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) invoking protocol grounds for the match venue.

In a statement released by Kallon FC, they conveyed their regret for any inconveniences caused to their supporters, fans, and fellow Sierra Leoneans due to the venue change.

“Kallon Football Club want to inform its supporters, fans, followers and well-wishers that their match against Dreams FC (Ghana), in the return leg of the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round is going to be played at Samuel Kay Doe Stadium in Liberia,” the statement read.

“We are sorry for the inconveniences this might have caused our fans, and all Sierra Leoneans.”

Dreams FC won the first leg 2-1 at the Accra Stadium on September 15 with the aggregate winner of the two-leg tie progressing to the group stage of the competition.

In a related development, Togolese referee Aklesso Gnama has been appointed by CAF to officiate the match, with compatriots Komlan Domenyo Adiwotso and Abdou Kpelafia serving as assistant referees.

The fourth official for the game will be Ghanaian referee Vincentia Enyonam Amedome. Alhaji Babagana Kalli from Nigeria will be overseeing the match as the Match Commissioner, while Songor Koedoyama will assume the role of Medical Officer.
