The citation which accompanied his award lauded his "impactful contribution in Ghana's sports arena since the inception of the 4th Republic".

In an address before decorating Mr Dankwa with a ceremonial robe and medal, World Diplomatic Federation (WODIF) Communications Strategist, Mr Isaac Rockson said it was important to celebrate impactful pioneers such as Mr Dankwah while they were young and still in their prime.

He lauded the Blag Ghana CEO for taking the calculated risk to leave a lucrative job in Australia to contribute towards national development in his homeland.

After receiving the trophy which accompanied the citation, Mr Dankwa recounted departing a job in the Oil and Gas sector in Australia and deciding to relocate to Ghana in 2013.

He said although the journey has not been easy, it had paid off, urging more Ghanaians in the diaspora to return home.

Mr Dankwa also urged Ghanaian Premier League clubs to consider artificial grass pitches as a cost-reduction measure.

He said artificial grass pitches were ideal for television coverage of matches, especially in tropical regions such as Ghana.

The event, put together by Rectitude International Mission (RIM), WODIF and powered by BORGCA.
