Black Stars receive major boost with arrival of 14 players for AFCON qualifiers

Ghana’s Black Stars have been strengthened by the arrival of 14 additional players ahead of their crucial Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Angola and Niger. 

The players, who touched down this week, join those who began training on Monday, completing the squad for the upcoming matches.

Among the latest arrivals are key figures like Jordan Ayew, goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi, defenders Alidu Seidu and Kingsley Schindler, and promising young talents such as Ernest Nuamah and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku. 

They add to the core team, including Mohammed Kudus, Gideon Mensah, Osman Bukari, and Joseph Wollacott, who have been training since the start of the week.

Serbian-based left-back Ebenezer Annan is expected to arrive on Tuesday night to complete the squad ahead of their first game. 

The team will hold two additional training sessions in Accra before departing for Luanda on Wednesday.

The Black Stars will take on Angola in an away fixture on Friday, November 15, before returning home to face Niger at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, November 18. The team is determined to secure maximum points to improve their chances of advancing in the AFCON qualifiers.
