The Black Queens dominated the game from the early stages, with Gifty Assifuah capitalizing on a rebound from an Evelyn Badu freekick to score the opener in the second minute.

Grace Asantewaa doubled the lead with a stunning solo goal just six minutes later, leaving the Senegalese defence in disarray.

Cynthia Fiindib then made a crucial save in the 30th minute to deny the opponents after Portia Boakye lost possession in a dangerous area.

Assifuah completed her brace just before the half-time whistle, giving Ghana a comfortable three-goal lead going into the break.

Despite some changes in personnel in the second half, the Black Queens continued to press for more goals but were unable to convert their chances.

Senegal had a good opportunity to score a consolation goal, but Fiindib pulled off another great save to ensure Ghana kept a clean sheet.

The match ended 3-0 in favor of the Black Queens, who will host Senegal for a second encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. Both teams will use the game as preparation for future assignments.
