‘Baah deserves every success’
Optimum Media Prime (OMP), organisers of the programme that unearthed Gideon Baah say he deserves every bit of the success he is enjoying in his career because he has remained determined, deligent and has worked hard.

Last Tuesday, the former Kumasi Asante Kotoko star joined America’s Major League Soccer’s (MLS) New York Red Bulls from Finland’s HJK Helsinki, a move that has not only surprised most fans but also excited his supporters, particularly the OMP family who believe he has made a right decision.
Fadi Fattal, the Chief Executive Officer of OMP whose Areeba Sports Academy now MTN Soccer Academy programme on Metro TV unearthed the star in 2006 when he won that edition.
“Baah’s rise in his career is no fluke and he deserves every bit of it. Even as an unknown player or a star in the making, he was always serious about what he did, was deligent, determined and focused and those are the qualities that are pushing him up.
“We are proud of what he has achieved and we believe that he wll achieve more at his new exploits. We are particularly happy that he joined New York Bulls instead of the rumoured Barcelona deal, because he will get the chance to really shine, while he would have been under pressure to deliver if he had joined the Spanish giants,” Fattal told the Graphic Sports.
He was particularly proud that a product from their stable had risen to this height and wished the 24-year-old star all the best.
“We can only be proud and happy for Gideon. We wish him the very best and will be monitoring his progress,” he said.
Meanwhile, Baah has expressed his delight at joining ‘a good family’ in New York Red Bulls.
“I think it’s a good family. You can see it even from the first day when I met all the guys. I’m very happy to be here; I don’t feel left alone, I don’t feel left behind. They’ve welcomed me as a person and as a footballer. It’s great to be a part of this family.”
“I had the opportunity to watch them all season last year. I know it’s a big club, a big organisation with lots of affiliates all over the world and I’m very happy to join them."
