Ayi, Addo others for Goalkeeper of the Month award

Hearts of Oak goalkeeper, Richmond Ayi and veteran goalkeeper, Joseph Addo, are among five goalkeepers who have been shortlisted for Goalkeeper of the Month award for January.

The goalkeepers who have demonstrated exceptional skill to guard their goal in the five league matches played in January are expected to vie for that enviable title for the month.

Even though all the goalkeepers have distinguished themselves well and deserve the honour, Samartex FC’s Lawrence Ansah, could be a notch ahead of the others having kept four clean sheets and conceded just a goal in the five matches.

Apart from Ansah, all the other goalkeepers, kept three clean sheets with Ayi conceding four goals, Aduana’s Addo picked the ball from his net twice while Benjamin Asiedu Kwesi and Augustine Koomson of Dreams FC all conceded twice.
