The MTN Celebrity Spoons golf competition is a unique competition by the telecommunications outfit where golfers play against each other.

The event, which was in partnership with Tecno mobile, attracted 65 golfers to the Celebrity Golf Course who battled for the ultimate in the next quarter.

Speaking to the media after the game, the outgoing CEO of MTN, Mr Michael Ikpoki, praised the Sakumono-based golf club for its support to making the competition a success.

The CEO congratulated the Sports Writers Association (SWAG) award winners of golf in the male and female category, Ermos Korblah and Beatrice Vetsch-Bempong respectively and urged them to continue in that spirit in order to become international award winners.

He was also happy about the patronage and the huge interest the competition continued to generate, even when the competition was very young, and pledged his outfit’s continued support for sports and golf in particular.
