This year’s home-coming of the old boys of Accra Academy will have many more exciting side attractions as the newly introduced armwrestling event makes a stop at the event on Saturday.
Introduced recently, armwrestling is fast gaining ground as a traditional sport and the Armwrestling Association of Ghana, is embarking on a promotion campaign of the sport in schools and among organised groups.
This fun activity, which will be held at the Interact Square of the school, will pitch Accra Academy old students against the current students to determine the bragging rights and undisputed strongman for the year.
Various year groups of the ‘Bleoo’ old boys will converge on the school to participate in different activities marking the 17th homecoming.
With their commissioned astro turf provided by an old boy, Asamoah Gyan, captain of Ghana’s Black Stars, there will be also more interest in the football gala among the various year groups.
