Andre Ayew starts against Comoros
Black Stars coach, Chris Hughton, has named Andre Ayew in the starting line-up for their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Comoros Island.
The Black Stars skipper did not play a part in the team’s 1-0 win over Madagascar in their first game at the Baba Yara Stadium last Friday.
Ayew is among three other changes the coach made for this game as he replaces Kudus Mohammed in midfield.
Denis Odoi who was introduced in the second half of last Friday’s game will also replace Alidu Seidu at the right back while Nuhu Kasim Adams has also replaced Daniel Amartey who picked a knock during the game at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Apart from these three, the coach maintained the squad that started the game last Friday with Richard Ofori expected to be between the sticks.
Gideon Mensah who had a fantastic game last Friday will keep his position at the left back with Baba Iddrisu and Abdul Samed Salis will be playing in midfield.
Inaki Williams will partner Antoinne Semenyo upfront.
