Frimpong, who himself sustained an injury during last Monday’s last Group A game, believes the team were ready to bounce back in the semi-finals tomorrow.

In an interview with the Graphic Sports ,the Asante Kotoko skipper was hopeful to recover in time for the semi-final clash but called for calm after their loss to the Super Eagles.

"We lost the match due to injuries sustained by most of our players but I believe we will return to the pitch stronger in the semi-finals as the players responding positively to treatment.

"I am recovering from a knock myself but I hope it will be in time so I can play for the team in the semi-finals but everyone is coping well ahead of the clash," he said.

Despite Ghana’s loss to Nigeria, Frimpong said the players were ready to fight for the trophy by winning their next two matches as they remain focused on achieving just that.

Skipper Isaac Twum, Gideon Waja and Amos Frimpong got injured in the Stars B game against Nigeria in last Monday's final group game.

Ghana, however, topped Group A with six points despite the setback and secured qualification alongside Nigeria, who finished second with five points.
