Agyiri, Owusu-Agyepong win Access Bank medal

Mrs Adelaide Owusu-Agyepong, wife of former Majority Leader in Parliament, Mr Felix Owusu-Agyepong, has won the Access Bank Medal Play at the Tema Country Golf Club (TCGC).

The over 60-year-old double handicapper (20) finished the 18-hole event recording a 68net score to pick the ultimate in the ladies Group A event.

Florence Etwi-Barimah with a 78 score emerged second with Cathy Boateng with 70net won   the ladies B event after beating Helen Appha.

With a 66 score Prince Agyiri emerged winner in the Group A ultimate while Amoah Ebo-Dacosta with 70net beat Enock Nyarko on count back for the second spot.

 Dr Yaw Ani (67net), won the men’s Group B event after beating Tony Domingo by just a stroke who in turn beat Dominic Adjapong on count back.

The pros event saw Vincent Torgah emerging  tops  after recording  a net  score of 68, with Kwame Ligbidi  and Emmanuel Osei following in that order.

The Managing Director of Access Bank, Dolapo Ogundimu, pointed out that the bank’s support for the well-attended event was a demonstration of their quest to promote and develop sports, particularly golf in the country.
