The importance of SMEs in the Ghanaian economy cannot be overemphasised. a recent report from the World Bank shows that SMEs make up about 80 per cent of businesses in the economy, contributing immensely to Ghana’s GDP.

The report also highlighted that businesses that were affected the most by the COVID-19 pandemic were SMEs.

It is against this background that the Graphic Business partnered Access Bank to roll out the SME clinic series which seeks to equip SMEs with new trends in business and technology to reach new market, help them diversify and realise more profit.

The SME clinic is also expected to expose players in the SME space to the many opportunities available to them.

In the era of the AfCFTA agreement, the SME clinic is also expected to equip the players with the necessary skills to scale up and be very competitive on the continent and globally.

Insightful engagement

In a release, the two institutions said they were looking forward to an insightful and solution-based engagement in Kumasi.

“The carefully selected speakers and panel members have well vested knowledge and experience in their various fields, and we trust that they will bring to the participants practicable knowledge and content to add value to the SME sector,” the release said.
