Badu, 20, was loaned out to Ligue 2 outfit AS Chambly this season but has since returned to Montpellier following the expiration of his contract.

The Graphic Sports can confirm that Championnat National side, FC Sete have already made a loan offer for him but it was turned down by Montpellier as they believe moving to the third-tier amounts to retrogression for the budding talent.

Currently, Montpellier are tracking Austrian striker Adrian Grbic from Clermont Foot and if they get him, Badu would be sent on loan for the second time.

AS Chambly have already made known their interest in getting Badu back on loan, but such a move will be dependent on an assurance of enough playing time for the player, as several other teams also want his services.

Born to a Ghanaian father and a French mother in the French City of Le Mans, Badu went through the youth system of Montpellier before being promoted to the senior team on October 25, 2019.

He made his Ligue 1 debut against Angers on October 26, 2019 and played in the final eight minutes. He was loaned to AS Chambly in January this year for adequate playing time.

On the international scene, Badu has already been capped by France at the under-18 level but is still eligible to represent Ghana.
