Idrowhyt Centre to host 10 thrilling fights on Saturday night

Tomorrow night will be a long night for boxing lovers in Dansoman and its environs as the Idrowhyt Centre hosts 10 thrilling duels on a night dubbed: ‘Idrowhyt Big Fight Night’.

Two international title belts and eight national titles will be contested for by some of the nation’s promising fighters and world title hopefuls.

Headlining tomorrow’s bill is a 12-round national middleweight encounter involving Emmanuel Quaye and Boateng Agyemang.

This will be followed by a 10-round West Africa Boxing Union (WABU) bantamweight contest between Ghana’s Manyo Plange and Beninois Zanoun Prince.

Former World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Africa Super-middleweight champion, Patrick Allotey, will meet Ben ‘Congo Soldier’ Ankrah, before Mubarak-Abubakar takes on Abdul Karim Charles in an eight-round middleweight bout.

Light middleweight brawler, Lesko Sossiya, will meet Kwaku Avogah in an eight-round light middleweight contest, while Philip Ngwa and Joseph Quarcoo clash in a six-round lightweight contest.

A super lightweight fight will see Felix Nunoo facing Godwin Kofi Appiah, and another six-round super lightweight duel will see Emmanuel Quartey slugging it out with Prosper Quaye.

Mohammed Aryeetey and Thomas Quansah will clash in a six-round flyweight bout, while Isaac Aryeetey meets Eric Tetteh in another six-round flyweight contest.

The president of Cabic Promotions, Ivan Bruce-Cudjoe, promised more fights before the end of the year.

He pledged to organise regular fight nights to unearth talents and get world title contenders for Ghana.
