In a goodwill message sent to Hasaacas Ladies, Mr Achampong-Kyei said, “having made it to the final of the first-ever CAF Women’s Champions League with this classy performance, you have proved beyond every reasonable doubt that you deserve to be crowned champions.”

“As you go into today’s game, we want you to know that GLICO and the entire nation are solidly behind you to conquer your opponents and bring home the title,” he said.

According to the GLICO MD, history beckons the Ghanaians to win the inaugural CAF Women’s Champions League and write their name in letters of gold as the first club to win the competition.

“So far, both your individual and team efforts clearly indicate that you are the best, so we urge you to step onto the field to finish hard by putting up your best performance yet to make Ghanaians proud and crown a memorable competition,” he added.

GLICO General insured players and officials of the Ghanaian side and also supported them financially prior to the tournament.
