The Ghana Rugby League Federation began this year’s activities with a competition last Sunday at the Ajax park in the University of Ghana.
The competition featured ten male teams comprising six senior and four junior sides.
The opener last Sunday featured two groups with Accra Majestics, African Warriors Jnr, Nungua Tigers, Pirates, and Ghana Skolars in Group
One and Accra Panthers, African Warriors Snr, Firm foundations, Nungua Tigers Jnr, and Bulls in group Two.
Pirates announced their comeback to the league as they topped group One with eight points with two wins and two draws while the other group saw Bulls leading with 10 points as it snatched three points from the competition with only Firm foundation getting away with a draw.
The final match saw Pirates put up an awesome performance against the mighty Bulls which ended in a draw. Both teams had to battle for the decider with the golden goal rule.
