Indeed, the emergence of the young stars in the Ghana team potends  a bright future ahead of the next Africa Cup of Nations and the World Cup in Russia in 2018.

Atsu, one of the many 15 World Cup debutants and youngsters in the Ghana squad expects the influence of the experienced players around to guide them through.

“There’s no question we’ve got a young team with a lot going for it.

With old hands like Asamoah Gyan around we can still achieve big things for Ghanaian and African football in the next few World Cups.”, he argued.

Atsu, 22, finds it hard to overcome Ghana’s elimination but takes pride from fulfilling a dream that every player cherishes.

“We’re very sad about our elimination from the World Cup, but there’s not much we can do about it now..

“Naturally, I’m delighted to have had the chance to play at the World Cup, but right now all I feel is sadness because we really wanted to make the last 16. And I think we deserved it “, he stated.
