The rebranding and restructuring consultant of Cape Coast Venomous Vipers FC, Mr Twintoh Walker, has restated his determination and commitment to ensure that the club qualifies to play in the premiership in just two football calendar seasons, and has therefore launched “Operation premier 2016”.
Little wonder that Vipers have taken a comfortable lead with 22 points to end the first round in the nine club 2nd Division Zone 1 League in Cape Coast in the Central Region, having won seven and drawn one to top the table.
The club, which recently organised a crisis meeting to salvage its fortunes under the Chief Patron, Osabarimba Kwesi Atta II, the Oguaa Omanhen, is said to be progressing steadily, with the effort of the rebranding committee.
According to Mr Walker, the rebranding committee was the reason for the success the club was chalking up now.
He took the opportunity to congratulate the hurriedly assembled executives on their management efforts so far.
They comprise five old players (John Acquah, Joe Smith, Abbrey, Naana and Ewusie) and three rebranding committee members (Mr Twintoh Walker, Joseph Thompson and Sister Hannah).
They are to hold the fort till Osabarimba Kwesi Atta announces the new interim management committee.
Mr Walker, who is the chairman of the rebranding committee, also praised the playing body and technical team comprising Nana Yaw, Fatau and assistant coach Richard Ackon, former national player, who is acting as the head coach.
He extended his appreciation to all the teaming supporters of the club, especially Osabarimba Kwesi Atta, Abaka Turkson (Sonturk), Mr Barton Odro, MP for Cape Coast North, Mr Michael Essandoh, William Aggrey Fynn ( a past chairman), James Binney, Nana Kwame Adu V (known in private life as Nana Amoah) and Thomas Hemang Hughes for their contribution and support to the club.
