The national U-20 team, the Black Satellites, last Saturday qualified for the second round of the African Youth Championship qualifiers when they defeated their Sierra Leonean counterparts 2-1 at the Tamale Sports Stadium.
The win gave the Satellites who were runners-up in the last championship in Algeria a 4-1 goal aggregate to cruise to the next round and are billed to face either Rwanda or Gabon in the final qualifying round.
The Sierra Leoneans who lost the first leg 0-2 at home in Bo gave the Ghanaians a scare when Ishmael Camara opened the scores on the 35th minute.
However, the Satellites came back strongly and grabbed the equaliser six minutes later through George Agyepong.
Back from recess, Latif Abubakar fetched the match winner for the Satellites on the 87th minute.
