Finance and Economic Planning Minister, Seth Terkper has indicated that winning bonuses are ready for the Black Stars should they overcome the Pharaohs of Egypt whom they play in the final World Cup play-off in Egypt today.
The Minister was addressing Parliament during the presentation of the 2014 Budget Statement and Economic Policy of the government.
On behalf of the President and Government, he wished the Black Stars well in the encounter and prayed that they return victorious and make the nation proud in their qualification for the World Cup.
"We are profoundly proud of the Black Stars. Whilst wishing them the best of luck in the game, on behalf of His Excellency the President, and if you would permit me Mr Speaker, on your own behalf and on behalf of this august house, and on behalf of all Ghanaians, I wish to assure them that their winning bonus will be paid immediately they come," he said as the house responded with wild cheer.
Ghana goes into the final hurdle with a huge advantage after a 6:1 pummelling of the Pharaohs in Kumasi about a month ago.
