Black Stars midfielder Rabiu Mohammed has refuted media reports that he is nursing an injury and would not be able to make the team’s final squad.
The midfielder said he had never missed any training session since reporting to the Black Stars camp after the European season and was thus surprised that there were rumours that he was injured.
He said he recovered from an injury more than seven weeks ago and featured for his club in their league games before coming down to play in the Stars’ game against the Dteam Team.
The player said he was doing well and those who felt he was injured should wait till Saturday when he is expected to play an influential role in Ghana’s game against Holland.
Yesterday, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) also dismissed the rumour with the Communications Director, Sannie Daara, stressing that all the players were fit for Saturday’s game and there was no injury worries.
“Everyone is fine. It was goalkeeper Stephen Adams who got injured on the lip but is fine and even continued training that same day.”
