Ahead of the First Capital Plus Premier League (FCPPL) awards on Saturday at the Banquet Hall of the State House, the organisers have disclosed that the President H.E. John Dramani Mahama, would be the guest of honour of the event.
Nana Yaw Kesse, head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs, First Capital Plus Bank (FCPB), told the Daily Graphic that the President would be joined by other special guests including Mr Felix Awogo the General Manager (GM) of Supersport West Africa.
He said, "It will be a celebration of the first of our five years of sponsorhip, the President will grace the event as the guest of honour with Mr Felix Awogo, GM of Supersport West Africa, also be in attendance".
Mr Kesse said his outfit was delighted with the gains it had made in terms of the brand visibility after just a year of sponsoring the league.
"We came on board as the headline sponsors and brought relief to the clubs because at the time the league was without a sponsor. But largely we have derived brand visibility since our association with the Ghana League.
“We are now part of the top five most visible brands in the banking industry, ask anyone on the street to name five banks and FCPB will be part. The visibility we have attained is outstanding given the fact that we only gained our universal banking licence just a year ago”, he stressed..
He disclosed that the top four clubs; Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Heart of Lions, Accra Hearts of Oak and Ashantigold would be awarded with cash prizes for their exploits in the 2013/2014 First Capital Plus Bank Premier League.
