A 35-yard thunderbolt from midfielder Dotse Agbeshie in the 40th minute yesterday gave visiting Accra Great Olympics their first away win as they beat Liberty Professionals 1-0 at the Carl Reindorf Park at Dansoman.
The stunning volley left former Black Stars goalkeeper Daniel Adjei, completely stranded in post for Liberty.
Liberty took the game to the visitors with an early onslaught in search of the opener,. However strikers Charles Dwamena, Daniel Ebo Mends and Latif Blessing were wasteful in front of goal as they missed countless opportunitiesl.
The homesters kept on looking for the opener, resorting to the flanks and trying to cut in between but the Olympics defence stood tall and withstood the attacks from the Scientific Soccer lads.
