Muntari, Schlupp on target

IT was a weekend of good fortune for Ghana stars in Europe as Sulley Muntari scored an audacious goal for AC Milan while Jeffrey Schlupp scored his first Premiership goal for Leceister City in their 2-2 draw against Burnley last Saturday.

Muntari latched onto an attempted clearance in the 55th minute and smashed it past Chievo goalkeeper Francesco Bardi.

Japanese international Keisuke Honda then scored a late free-kick to help seal the points for Milan in a 2-0 win over Chievo at the San Siro as the Rossoneri ended their three game winless run.

The 21-year-old Schlupp scored the first goal in the four-goal thriller at the King Power Stadium 

The versatile player opened the scoring in the 33rd minute after he was set up by Algerian, Riyad Mahrez.

Schlupp, who exhausted the entire duration of the game, used nine outings to register his first Premier League goal.
