Ghana and AC Milan midfielder, Sulley Muntari, is expected to be on the sidelines for two weeks after sustaining a calf injury.
Muntari sustained the injury in AC Milan's Seria A clash with Chievo Saturday.
The injury prompted AC Milan Coach, Clarence Seedorf, to replace the 29-year-old with his Black Stars team-mate, Michael Essien, in the 45th minute of the match.
Muntari will now miss Milan’s upcoming games against Genoa and Catania.
The former Inter Milan Midfielder is set to be named in Ghana's 23-man World Cup squad.
The Black Stars have been paired with Germany, Portugal and the USA in Group G.
