MTN FA CUP: Faisal, Rospak clash at Gyandu

The Sekondi Gyandu Park will host a delayed MTN FA Cup round of 32 clash between Rospack FC and elite division King Faisal in a ‘David and Goliath’ affair this afternoon.

Rospack, another promising team from the ‘Mospacka’ stable, are targeting an upset over Faisal in today’s clash in order to book a Takoradi derby with Metro Stars in the round of 16 on March 22.

Faisal, who won their round of 64 game against Tuobodom Santos on December 22 last year, had to wait till now since Rospack also cleared their round of 64 game against Ho Dynamos on February 24 following a dispute between the latter and Rigth to Dream over strip. Rospack later beat Dynamos 1-0 to book today’s date with Faisal.

Meanwhile, Aduana Stars are awaiting the outcome of the round of 64 match between Royal Faith/Dawhenya FC v Bazooka FC in the third round.

A protest filed by Royal Faith against Dawhenya FC (winners of their preliminary round match between the two clubs) is still pending at the Disciplinary Committee.

The winners of the protest will host Bazooka FC in the round of 64, after which the winners meet Aduana Stars in the round of 32 for a slot against Bechem United in the last 16.
