Liberty overpower Bechem

Liberty Professionals Sunday recorded their fifth win in this season’s Premier League when they accounted for a lackluster Bechem United 2-1 in a boring game at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Liberty started the better side of the two and tested Bechem goalie, Osei Boateng, in the third minute when Striker Jafaru Somed forced a smart save from him after he had exchanged passes with Michael Appiah.

In the 19th minute, Tamimu Montari opened the scoring for Liberty after his shot from outside the box deflected past a hapless Boateng who was wrong-footed.

Jafaru Somed stepped up and made it two for Liberty before the break.

Bechem grabbed a late consolation in the  90th minute when substitute Paul Manu scored from the spot after substitute Yaw Arnor was brought down.
