Giantkillers Liberty Professionals, still basking in their 3-1 demolition of Accra Hearts of Oak last Sunday, welcome Berekum Chelsea to the Carl Reindorf Park at Dansoman in an outstanding Week 17 game.
Liberty have stunned the leaders Kotoko (1-0) and Hearts (3-1) at their home base this year and coach of the ‘Scientific Soccer’ lads, George Lamptey, will hope to add Chelsea — who have lost once in their last five games — to that impressive list.
Medeama SC will be hoping their three outstanding games will make the difference in the race for second place in the First Capital Plus Premiership, but they must win the first of those games tomorrow when they take on Wa All Stars at the Wa Park in an outstanding Week 22 encounter.
If Tarkwa-based Medeama claim the maximum points from those games, it could re-igniting interest in an otherwise boring title-race they will move two points above Hearts of Oak (who have 38 points) and within six points of the leaders, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, who have shown inconsistent form recently.
Against 12th-placed All Stars, they come-up against a team who are also in dire need of points but for different reasons.
Six points seperate the Blues from bottom-club Ebusua Dwarfs, who lie 16th (with a game in hand) and could get drawn into the releagtion dog-fight with a loss.
The tie promises to be a cracker with games quickly running out in the First Capital Plus Premier League.
