Liberty Professionals coach, George Lamptey, has hailed returnee striker Kennedy Ashia for his impressive performance against Sekondi Hasaacas at the Carl Reindolf Park last week.
Ashia’s brace in Liberty’s 3-1 win over Hasaacas helped push the team from the bottom ranks after three loses in their last five matches.
In an interview with the Graphic Sports, Coach Lamptey said: “Kennedy played very well against Hasaacas and these are some of his qualities that we cherish most.
“He has shown signs of maturity after playing at the U-20 World Cup and playing professionally in Norway with SK Brann,” he added.
Coach Lamptey expects the 20-year-old to be in top form for the rest of the season in their bid to escape relegation and capture a respectable position on the First Capital Plus Premier League log.
Meanwhile, the coach of the Dansoman-based side blamed their recent poor results on injuries to three of their players but said they were all back and ready to finish the league on a good note.
