Accra Hearts of Oak playmaker, Winful Cobbinah, says he deserves a place in the 28-man squad named by coach Maxwell Konadu for the upcoming CHAN tournament in South Africa next year.
After being left out of the squad named last Wednesday, the 22-year-old told Daily Graphic he felt bad for not making the team.
“Being a midfielder and one who is scoring goals is a plus and I think I’m in good shape, so I was very dissappointed for not making it. But as a player, you have to be a professional and continue working hard,” Cobinnah said.
But the in-form playmaker, who scored a great goal against Aduana Stars to earn a point for Hearts last Sunday, praised his teammates, Nuru Sulley and Moro Abubakar, for making the squad.
Speaking on their next Premier League match against Wa All Stars, Cobinnah remained confident of Hearts returning to winning ways when they visit Wa tomorrow.
“We have to beat them and we are working hard towards that. I promise the fans we will give our best to come out victorious,” he added.
