Coach Avram Grant has handed a call-up to enterprising Portugal-based midfielder Bernard Mensah and Middlesbrough’s Albert Adomah in his 23-man squad to prepare for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Mauritius next week.
Mensah, who is reportedly on the shopping list of many top European sides and Adomah are the only new faces in the squad which will begin camping tomorrow ahead of the opening Group H qualifier to be played at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, June 14.
Adomah returns to the squad for the first time since the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Meanwhile, Black Stars assistant captain, Andre Ayew, has been excluded from the squad as he is recovering from injury.
