GLO Premier League: Ashgold win at Obuasi

Obuasi Ashgold yesterday played one of their best games in recent times and succeeded in taming  visiting Kpandu Heart of Lions in a 3-2 victory in their Glo Premier League match at the Len Clay Stadium.

 The two teams exhibited quality soccer to the admiration of the sparse crowd that watched the match

 Ashgold scored the opener on the 40th minute when striker Shafui Mumuni delivered a powerful shot to end the first half at 1-0 in their favour.

Heart of Lions drew level on the 52nd minute through a solo effort by Bernard Morrison, who beat the entire Aahgold defence before hitting past goalkeeper Fatau Dauda.

But Ashgold’s prolific striker, Mohamed Yakubu, restored the homesters’ lead two minutes later and made it three moments after for the homesters.
