GFA says no to Ayews

In his letter Jordan expressed his displeasure at being excluded from Ghana's provisional squad for the 2013 Nations Cup in South Africa at a time he was in top form for his French club and was even voted Marseille Player of the Month for January. His elder brother Andre, who was dropped from the final team for failing to report at the team's training camp in Abu Dhabi on time, said he had some personal issues with some FA management officials which did not give him the presence of mind and motivation to give of his best for the national team. He therefore asked for time to deal with the issues and return to the team rejuvenated.

However the FA asked Jordan to reconsider his decision and make himself available for selection for future Black Stars assignments, while it requested that Andre furnished the FA with details of his grievances so that an amicable settlement could be reached.

The FA in a statement Thursday promised it would engage the bothers, sons of Ghana football legend Abedi Pele, in discussions to get them to rescind their decisions.
