GFA pledges co-operation with FIFpro
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has pledged to continue to enhance its relationship with FIFpro after meeting officials of world players’ union in Accra.

Stephane Burckhalter, the Secretary General for FIFPro Africa, and Stefan Saint Raymond, Head of Communication for FIFPro Africa, are in the country on a three-day working visit to assess the working conditions of the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG), FIFpro's arm in the country.
Yesterday they met with GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi and other FA Executive Committee members, including George Afriyie, Felix Ansong and Emmanuel Kyeremeh in Accra.
Also present at the meeting were PFAG executives, Anthony Baffoe, Solomon Torson, Kwame Ayew, Sammy Kuffour and Augustine Ahinful.
The two groups discussed welfare issues affecting Ghanaian footballers both at home and abroad and examined ways of improving the welfare of players in the country.
The FIFPro delegation were made to witness the deliberations of the GFA's Player Status Committee as two members of PFAG, Kwame Ayew and Anthony Baffoe, serve on the committee to represent the interest of players in the country.
Mr Nyantakyi expressed his delight with FIFpro's visit to Ghana and insisted that the welfare of the players in the country was paramount to the federation.
"The welfare of Ghanaian players is of common interest to all of us. If we get our players to play under the best conditions it will benefit the country, the local league and our national teams in the long run.
"We already have a good relationship with the PFAG and we have some of them serving on one of our key committees, the Player Status Committee, that directly deals with issues affecting players,” he said.
