Faisal deepen Amidaus’ woes

King Faisal defeated vising Amidaus Professionals 3-2  at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi to continue their climb out of the relegation zone of the First Capital Plus Premier League.

Relegation-threatened Amidaus opened the scoring in the 17th munite through Daniel Gazar and it took a real fight back for the home side to draw level through Prince Boateng’s 42nd minute equalising goal.

Determined Amidaus again sent early warning signals after recess, as Gazar nearly restored the lead for his side just three minutes into the second half, but his shot at goal was parried away by Faisal goalkeeper Ibrahim Iddrisu.

The game, however, swung in favour of the home side after the hour mark, as Daniel Bomfa hit a brace in the 67th and the 74th minutes to give Faisal a comfortable 3-1. Faisal and were coasting to their ninth home win before Isaac Amoah scored a late goal on the stroke of full time for Amidaus who slipped to the 14th position on the log.
