The head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Mas-ud Didi Dramani, says he asked striker Seidu Bancey to pick up a yellow card in the club’s 0-1 loss to Liberty.
Dramani said it was a tactical decision to enable Bancey, who tops the league's goal chart with 10 goals, get sufficient rest.
The former Dwarfs and Edubiase striker will now serve a suspension in the mid-week league clash against Heart of Lions on Wednesday.
“Seidu Bancey is serving three yellow cards because the last yellow card was on technical reasons. I instructed the player to get booked so that he can have long period of rest," Dramani told Metro FM.
“I hope this will rest his limbs, so that he can return fully to help us for the rest of the season,” he said.
