Coach Fabin still upbeat about qualification

Black Starlets coach, Paa Kwasi Fabin, is not worried by his team's progress to the next stage of the Africa Youth Championship qualifiers without kicking the ball.

The national U-17 side progressed to the last round of qualifiers following the withdrawal of their opponents, South Sudan, from the qualifiers.

He said sometimes, going through a competition without playing the qualifiers was not the best  for the team, but he was confident the team would make it to the  championship in Niger.

Ghana are awaiting the winners of the game between Burkina Faso and Cameroun on September 12.

Speaking to the Daily Graphic yesterday, Fabin maintained that the Starlets were not new to the situation, saying the team was ready for any opposition.

The team, which has broken camp, are scheduled to resume camping at their Prampram base on Sunday and Coach Fabin says they will map out a strategy to face their next opponents.
