Obuasi Ashgold yesterday posted a 1-0 victory against Algerian side, Mouloudia Olympique de Bejaia in their first leg of the CAF Champions League game played at the Len Clay Stadium.
The slim victory has pushed the Obuasi lads in an uncomfortable situation ahead of the return leg in two weeks’ time. Left-back Tijani Joshua’s goal in the 60th minute was all Ashgold needed to get their continental campaign off to a winning start.
At Dawu, Accra Hearts of Oak yesterday beat Dreams FC 2-1 in a friendly match to get both teams ready for the upcoming premier league scheduled to commence next Saturday.
