An own goal by a hard-pressed defender of Hassacas in the 57th minute yesterday enabled Ashgold to secure the maximum points to consolidate their hold on the top of the First Capital Plus Premier League.
After a scoreless first half, Ashgold came in strongly in the second half and in one of their raids, striker Yakubu Mohammed’s shot beat keeper George Owu and the hard pressed defender handled the ball in the box for the spot kick.
