Ashantigold yesterday put up a splendid performance to subdue visiting Liberty Professionals 2-0 in their Glo Premier League encounter at the Len Clay Stadium at Obuasi.
The two goals were scored on 17th and 36th minutes by Bernard Morrison and Frank Adjei respectively.
The homesters took the game to the visitors with incessant forays which yielded an early corner in the 17th minute. The resultant kick volleyed by slippery Latif Mohammed was headed home by Morrison.
Ashgold increased the tally on 36th minute when Adjei after receiving a ball from the right flank delivered a thunderbolt from 35 metres which left keeper Michael Abu napping in the post
