Juventus have defended their Serie A title for a third successive time and with it has also come a second title for Ghanaian midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah.
Asamoah has played a consistent role for Juventus this season, considered one of the main pillars in midfield and has even scored some important goals which all contributed to the team’s success.
Juve were already guaranteed the 30th Scudetto of their illustrious history when second-placed Roma crashed 4-1 at Catania last week, but three points meant they could still top 100 points and Simone Padoin struck a second-half winner as the Old Ladies of Italian football celebrated their crowning moment with a 1-0 against Atalanta last Monday night.
The fans at the Juventus Stadium celebrated wildly at the end as the team marked another successful season with a 100 per cent winning record, by throwing manager Antonio Conte into the air.
But Conte hinted afterwards that he may be on his way out of the club this summer.
'I will speak with the club and we will make the right assessments,' Conte said. 'It has been three intense years, I have to thank the lads for what they have done. Even tonight they went out there with the desire to win. That mentality, which I have transmitted to the lads, is my greatest merit.
'It's not easy to improve on what we have done these past few years. I have to understand if I have the strength to continue.'
Despite the straightforward league triumph, Juventus missed out on a Europa League final in their own stadium after losing to Benfica in last week's semi-finals.
And there were signs of a hangover from that European exit as the hosts struggled to create chances against mid-table Atalanta.
However, they will be back in next season’s Champions League and with lessons well learnt, they could just get a break through.
