Accra Hearts of Oak’s right full back, Emmanuel Ansong, who is struggling to hold down a first team place this season, has vowed to for regular football.
Ansong, 24, confirmed in an interview with the Graphic Sports that even though he had been kept on the sidelines by the massively-improved Owusu Bempah, he was not seeking for a move away from the Phobians but would rather bide his time and fight for a starting role.
“I have been in this club for over a year; I have found regular football hard to come by but this is because of the level of competition in the club. I have never run away from a challenge in my life and I believe with hard work, I will break into the first team.”
The former national U-17 star is also not looking for a move away from Hearts in order to enjoy more playing time elsewhere, and claims he will only leave the club when Hearts are ready to let him go or when both parties are pleased when a “good offer” comes in.
“For now, I am happy with Hearts and they are also happy with me but in the future if a good offer that proves too good to be true comes and we are both happy I will have no choice but to leave.
The story for the 2005 Black Starlet player is expected to be no different this weekend at the Robert Mensah Stadium when Hearts engage Ebusua Dwarfs, following the appointment of new head coach Mohammed Polo.
