Wa All Stars Football Club has scheduled a number of friendlies as part of a programme to test its new signings and put the team in shape towards the upcoming season.
Dubbed the “maintenance tour”, the programme will see some new players such as Richard Arthur from Windy Professionals, Saddick Alhassan from Kotoko, and Moses Nyarko and Yahaya Abass of Black Starlets featuring in a number of matches within the week.
The team manager of the club, Seth Panwum, told the Daily Graphic that starting from Sunday, All Stars will play against Ashgold and then travel to Dormaa to play Aduana next Wednesday.
“We will also engage Bechem United on Saturday after which we will play B.A. United,” Mr Panwum explained that with the date for the commencement of the league still in limbo, it is only proper that the players are kept on their toes and made to be active in order to do away with any form of rustiness during the off-season.
“We are poised to play in the top four next season and that is exactly what we are working towards. With the maintenance tour in place, I am convinced that we will have a solid and compact team when the season starts,” he stressed.
