Family Fun Run on March 6

The organisers of the event explained that families needed to bond together and stay healthy to fight the virus in these trying times.

In spite of that, not more than 500 participants will participate in the run while all participants must wear a mask and also observe all the COVID-19 protocols that day.
At a press briefing at the SilverStar Towers in Accra last Monday, the CEO of Global Media Alliance (GMA), Ernest Boateng, said the walk and run would start at the

Lakeside Marina Park in Accra and end on the premises of Japan Motors in Kumasi, Tamale and Takoradi.

Registration
“Registration, which includes breakfast, starts now and ends on March 5. Families, youngsters, adults and parents can register online or at the offices of the SilverStar Tower, Happy FM and GMA, Lakeside Marina Park, YFM and Accra Mall,” he stated.

He revealed that the VIP breakfast that characterised the event had been scrapped, while hand washers and sanitisers would be placed at vantage points during the walk and run.

Virtual run
The CEO of Lakeside Estate, Salah Kweku Kalmoni, whose outfit is a partner of the event, encouraged Ghanaians to patronise the virtual run, an online edition of the Run Ghana Club, to keep fit and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
